I offer light tackle flats, backcountry, inshore, and near-shore guided saltwater fishing charters along Florida's Nature Coast in Crystal River and Homosassa, where you will catch species including redfish, speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, cobia, sheepshead, snook, gag grouper, snapper, sea bass and others.

You will enjoy fishing from my custom rigged 24' Carolina Skiff. It has an open hull design, moveable fishing chairs, and comfortably fishes four anglers. Additional boats guided by professional and experienced captains can also be arranged if needed for larger family outings and corporate groups.

My boat is powered by a 115 HP Yamaha outboard motor that always gets me where I need to go, and is equipped with a bow mounted trolling motor and polling platform for stealth approach.

The flat bottom and shallow draft provide a stable fishing platform from which to fight the bull redfish and gator trout that are often caught in Crystal River and Homosassa.

Another benefit of my boat's design is that I am able to run the skinny water and get into the backcountry where the fish try to hide!

If you're not an avid angler, then you may like to spend part of your day enjoying a nature tour of either Crystal River or Homosassa. Cruising around the rivers and flats taking in the scenery and many species of wildlife that inhabit the surrounding coastal islands and grass marshes. And for the bird-watchers, if you're lucky you may spot one of the American Bald Eagles that nest along the river. Many species of other birds including the Great Blue Heron may also been observed. Dolphins and the endangered West Indian Manatee are also regular inhabitants of these coastal waters.

What to Bring

Be sure to bring any food and beverages you will want for the day. A good pair of polarized sunglasses are also recommended, along with sunscreen, a hat and long sleeved shirt to protect you from the sun.

Family Trips

Families and children are always welcome. In fact, I encourage parents to get their young ones out on the water and give them the opportunity to develop an appreciation for the sport of fishing.

There's nothing more fun than seeing a youngster reel in their first catch!

Group Trips

Let us arrange your corporate fishing trip or family group outing. We work with the area's best captains and can add boats when needed. The shore lunch option is also available for group trips.

Shore Lunch

Fish the first part of the day and then stop on one of the islands along the river and let your captain prepare your fresh catch of the day. He will serve it to you with his famous hushpuppies along with all the traditional fixings.
